Support
We're here to help.
ListenIn is a real-time social listening app for iPhone and iPad. Start a room, share a short code, and you and your friends hear the same Apple Music song at the same moment — each playing through your own Apple Music.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. ListenIn connects you anonymously — there's no sign-up and no password.
Do I need Apple Music?
Yes, to play full songs. The music plays through Apple Music on your own device, so an active Apple Music subscription is required to listen. Browsing and searching the catalog is free.
How do rooms work?
One person hosts and gets a short code. Friends enter that code to join. The host controls playback — play, pause, queue, and skip — and everyone stays in sync.
What does a room share about me?
Only the display name you choose and the songs being played and queued. There's no profile, no analytics, and no tracking. See our Privacy Policy for details.
It says "Music isn't available right now" or a song won't play.
Playback needs Apple Music permission and an active subscription, on a real device (the Simulator can't play). Check that Apple Music access is allowed for ListenIn in the iOS Settings app, and that you're signed in to Apple Music.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad running iOS / iPadOS 26 or later.
How do I report a problem or send feedback?
In the app, go to Profile → Report an Issue. It opens a pre-filled email you review before sending, with a short technical footer (app version, iOS version, and device type) and no personal data. Or email support.listenin@gmail.com directly.
We aim to reply within a few days.
